On the TPF Toolkit preference page, you can configure the time to
wait before TPF Toolkit starts reading a response
to a remote command.
About this task
Your administrator might have set a default wait time for your TPF Toolkit. In that case, if you open the TPF
Toolkit preference page, the page is completed with the default value. You can change the
default value to suit your needs.
Procedure
-
Click to open the TPF Toolkit preference page.
-
In the Wait time for remote command completion field, enter a number in
seconds.
In some circumstances,
TPF Toolkit might not detect the exit of remote command
processing even though processing was completed successfully. You can specify the wait time in this
field for the remote command to exit.
The default value is 1. Keep this value as low as possible
to avoid unnecessary delay in handling remote command responses.
If the remote command does
not exit within the specified wait time, TPF Toolkit begins reading any response that is received from the remote command. If the remote process is
still running but does not respond, for example, if the remote system is busy or network conditions
cause a delay in the response, you might need to increase this wait time.
