TCP/IP network override support

The TCP/IP network override support is a way for you to override the z/TPF client connectivity to remote systems. For example, you can use this support to change the remote destination of your z/TPF client applications and middleware packages when a copy of the production system acts as a test system.

With this support, you can simply issue a console command to override the remote connectivity, which takes effect for any z/TPF client application or middleware package that targets the remote test system. This support also can be used in the shared test system and VPARS type environments, where individual VPARS systems can apply overrides to change target destinations rather than change the base configuration. The support does not affect performance and can be used in production to override hostnames or IP addresses, if needed.

You can use the ZTTCP OVERRIDE command to define, delete, and display the TCP/IP network overrides on your z/TPF system.
