Overview
IBM Z® Service Management Suite 3.1.x enables you to monitor and automate critical business workloads that run on the IBM Z platform. You can use this offering to discover and manage System z® assets.
The IBM Z Service Management Suite
3.1.x includes the following
component products:
- IBM® Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS® 3.2
- The IBM Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS detects and discovers active z/OS resources and their connections and relationships. The IBM Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS creates XML files (also referred to as “Books”) that can be used to understand the environment or can be processed by products such as IBM Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager (TADDM), Change and Configuration Management Database (CCMDB), and IBM Z Resource Discovery Data Service.
- IBM OMEGAMON® for Db2® Performance Expert on z/OS 5.5.0
- IBM OMEGAMON for Db2 Performance Expert on z/OS enables you to find information on how to analyze, monitor, or tune the performance of IBM Db2 and IBM Db2 applications on z/OS.
- IBM OMEGAMON for IMS on z/OS 5.5.0
- IBM OMEGAMON for IMS on z/OS is a performance monitor that provides subject matter experts, such as systems programmers, the capability to manage IMS resources and workloads through integrated workspaces that provide alerts to problem conditions, aid the user to determine the root-cause issue, and help in taking corrective action to minimize any costly impact to business-critical applications.
- IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/OS 7.5.0
- IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/OS is a performance monitor that provides subject matter experts, such as systems programmers, the capability to manage IBM MQ and IBM Integration Bus resources and workloads. It integrates with other members of the OMEGAMON portfolio to provide a powerful cross-subsystem problem determination tool set, helping subject matter experts manage and monitor their systems with ease.
- IBM OMEGAMON for Storage on z/OS 5.5.0
- OMEGAMON for Storage 5.5.0 delivers new Realtime Dataset Metrics, also available in service stream for OMEGAMON Storage 5.4.0, which dramatically reduces Dataset and Group attribute collection. Data that previously took hours to collect is now available to storage administrators in a matter of minutes. You can use storage administrators to work with fresh data in near real time whenever they need it during the workday rather than either relying on data that could be many hours old, or waiting for the next overnight batch collection.
- IBM Service Management Unite Enterprise Edition 1.1.11
- IBM Service Management Unite is the customizable Dashboard Application Services Hub (DASH) interface.
- IBM Tivoli® Composite Application Manager for Application Diagnostics 7.1.1
- IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Application Diagnostics on z/OS provides diagnostic capabilities for JEE application performance problems including operational monitoring, transaction analysis, and memory analysis.
- IBM Tivoli Management Services on z/OS 6.3.2
- IBM Tivoli Management Services on z/OS is an integrated, layered architecture consisting of data-access, communication, and presentation components that enable cross-platform operation and integration of enterprise-wide data for systems-management applications. It is the software foundation that supports the development and operations of the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server, the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server and Tivoli Enterprise Portal, and their Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Agents.
- IBM Z ChatOps 1.1.4
- IBM Z ChatOps integrates tools and processes into a chat platform and provides a collaboration model of working. It can help you with problem isolation, incident notification, information query, and can share information about Z system resources to your chat and collaboration platform.
- IBM Z Common Data Provider 5.1.0 with Apache Kafka
- IBM Z Common Data Provider, introduced in IBM Z Service Management Suite 3.1.0, enables clients to collect and stream IBM Z operational data to one or more analytics platforms. The use of Kafka provides a data ecosystem where clients are able to collect data once and have that data used by multiple solutions or streamed off platform to one or more observability or analytics solutions. The Kafka infrastructure can also be leveraged to integrate data from OMEGAMON Data Provider as an additional source of critical operational data.
- IBM Z NetView® 6.4
- To address business agility on System z, the NetView product provides automation, and network and systems management.
- IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for JVM 6.1
- IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for JVM, formerly IBM Z OMEGAMON for JVM, delivers new machine learning capabilities and support for the latest IBM Z hardware and z/OS. The initial machine learning capabilities will help enable clients to quickly identify issues associated with poor Java™ performance.
- IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for Networks 6.1
- IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for Networks, formerly IBM Z OMEGAMON Network Monitor, delivers new machine learning capabilities and support for the latest IBM Z hardware and z/OS. The initial machine learning capabilities will help enable clients to quickly identify network performance anomalies.
- IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for z/OS 6.1
- IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for z/OS, formerly IBM Z OMEGAMON Monitor for z/OS, delivers new machine learning capabilities and support for the latest IBM Z hardware and IBM z/OS. The initial machine learning capabilities will help enable clients to quickly identify system performance abnormalities that may lead to overall operational inefficiency.
- IBM Z OMEGAMON for CICS® 5.6.0
- IBM Z OMEGAMON for CICS is a performance monitor that provides subject matter experts, such as systems programmers, the capability to manage CICS Transaction Server and CICS Transaction Gateway resources and workloads. It integrates with other members of the OMEGAMON portfolio to provide a powerful cross-subsystem problem determination tool set, helping subject matter experts manage and monitor their systems with ease.
- IBM Z OMEGAMON Integration Monitor 5.6.0
- IBM Z OMEGAMON Integration Monitor is a new offering that displays performance information from a variety of sources, including OMEGAMON monitors and third-party software, in a single location. It delivers near real-time and historical information and operating system and key subsystem performance. You can use a single-screen view of all situation alerts to rapidly identify the root-cause of complex issues involving multiple subsystems.
- IBM Z Resource Discovery Data Service 1.3.1
- IBM Z Resource Discovery Data Service is a containerized component that creates rapid and graphical analysis to discover the relationships among Z resources. It is used for understanding resources that run on Z and provides a standard graphical API for resource dependencies. The API can be consumed by various product services that provide visualization of dependencies and relationships, flows between resources, and impacts of changes. The consumers that make use of the graphical API of IBM Z Resource Discovery Data Service include IBM Wazi Analyze in the IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence for IBM Z, IBM Cloud Pak® for Watson™ AIOps, and IBM Z Anomaly Analytics.
- IBM Z Resource Discovery Visualization Service 3.0
- IBM Z Resource Discovery Visualization Service component is a React UI Component that primarily provides network-style graphs. Consumers of ZVS can import ZVS as a node library and configure ZVS through its interface. You can feed data to the component by implementing and registering a data provider.
- IBM Z Software Asset Management 8.3
- The IBM Z Software Asset Management product provides discovery, monitoring and reporting to understand z/OS product and application usage.
- IBM Z System Automation 4.3
- The System Automation product is policy-based. It is a high-availability solution that maximizes efficiency and availability of critical systems and applications.
IBM Z Service Management Suite provides the possibility to integrate with IBM Z Operations Analytics. IBM Z Operations Analytics reduces the time for problem isolation and resolution through rapid search and visualization of all data. It can be launched from Service Management Unite or OMEGAMON Tivoli Enterprise Portal workspaces.
