Getting started with IBM Z Security and Compliance Center 1.2.1.3

The 1.2.1.3 version of IBM Z® Security and Compliance Center(zSCC) is a platform that integrates various security and compliance applications. The zSCC platform provides an Application Catalog, which is a centralized collection of applications that can be deployed and managed on your IBM z/OS Container Extensions (IBM zCX) configuration or Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP).

With the Application Catalog, you can install various security and compliance applications. The applications available are:
  • IBM Z Crypto Discovery and Inventory – an application that is designed to help your installation in monitoring, uncovering, and prioritizing cryptographically relevant security vulnerabilities.
  • Compliance –an integrated set of micro services that collects evidence data from participating IBM® software components and products.

First Steps

After you install the platform and log in to the zSCC, the Application Catalog and Settings are available on the side panel.

Working with the Application Catalog

To install an application that you are entitled to deploy, click on the Application Catalog in the side panel and select the application to be installed. Follow the prompts to complete the setup. Figure 1 shows an example of installing the Compliance application using the Application Catalog.
