Installing component products

IBM Z® Service Automation Suite simplifies the ordering of IBM® service automation products by providing a broad range of functionality in a single product package.

IBM Z Service Automation Suite is available in two formats:

Custom-Built Product Delivery Option (CBPDO, 5698-SA1): CBPDO is a set of product tapes for one or more software products that is bundled with cumulative service. All services and HOLDDATA for the suite are included on the CBPDO tape. Decide which component products you want to install and review the program directories. Use SMP/E for installing each component product. Decide on a naming convention for SMP/E data sets and for the zones that you will use during configuration.; If you receive your product through the CBPDO system, maintenance is included on the media for you to install.
ServerPac: An IBM ServerPac is a set of preinstalled product data sets bundled with an IBM installation dialog that is used to load the data sets to disk and perform initial customization.; If you receive your product as part of a ServerPac system, maintenance is preinstalled.

Note:

IBM Service Management Unite and IBM Z ChatOps installation packages are available as electronic downloads from dedicated download portals. Refer to the Customer access portal for IBM Service Management Unite Enterprise Edition and Z ChatOps for more information.

To set up IBM Z Common Data Provider 5.1, you need to install the following files that are provided in the IBM Z Service Automation Suite Common DVD based on your needs:
