Steps for configuring the Policy Agent

Before you begin

You need to understand the hierarchy and relationships of the different configuration files. For more information, see Policy configuration files.

Procedure

Perform the following steps to configure the Policy Agent:

  1. Configure general information.
  2. Configure Policy Agent as a policy server.
  3. Configure Policy Agent as a policy client.
  4. Configure policies in Policy Agent configuration files.
  5. Configure Policy Agent to use the LDAP server using the ReadFromDirectory statement.
  6. Configure Policy Agent for import services.
  7. Configure Policy Agent for automatic monitoring of applications.
