SAPADDR
statements: | PATH |
dependencies: | MEDIUM=HPRIP |
Specifies the service access point for the switched connection
through an Enterprise Extender network.
Note:
- The SAP values for Enterprise Extender are multiples of 2 and for all other mediums a multiple of 4 applies. A null SAPADDR value has the same meaning as not coding the SAPADDR operand.
- The remote SAP value specified by SAPADDR must be unique. For more information, see the z/OS Communications Server: SNA Network Implementation Guide
- Exercise caution when specifying a Switched Major Node which will be active when the connection network function is in effect for HPR/IP. The remote SAP values specified with SAPADDR on the PATH statement must not match local SAP values specified in a node in the HPR/IP Shared Access Transport Facility (SATF) if connections will be attempted through the defined PATH (and PU) while connections through the connection network are active to that node.
- Use the defaults for SAPADDR on the PATH definition statements.
