EZA1695I srestart not supported for data type type

Explanation

An srestart subcommand was issued to restart a file transfer, but the current data type is not valid for srestart. Valid data types for srestart are I (binary), A (ASCII), and E (EBCDIC).

type is the current data transfer type as described in the z/OS Communications Server: IP User's Guide and Commands.

System action

FTP stops processing srestart and prompts for another subcommand

Operator response

Set the data type to the data type in effect during the original file transfer, then issue srestart again. If the data type in effect during the original file transfer is not valid for srestart, you cannot use srestart to restart the file transfer. You must use the get or put subcommands to transfer the file.
