Introduction for TS1130 tape drive

Like the TS1120 tape drive, the TS1130 provides a tape encryption capability. Data encryption is an important tool for protecting against the possible misuse of confidential information that could occur should tapes be lost or stolen. Unless the possessor of the tape has the required key, any encrypted data on the tape will remain confidential and will be unreadable.
