Adding HTTP proxies
To add a new HTTP proxy definition, use the Add action provided in the HTTP Proxies table. This action is listed only if you are authorized to define new HTTP proxy definitions.
Procedure
- In the HTTP Proxies table, select Add from the Actions menu. The Add HTTP Proxy page is displayed.
- In the Proxy name field, enter the name of the HTTP proxy definition. It can contain up to 40 characters, including alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, and 0-9), blanks, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). The name is required and must be unique. Proxy names are case sensitive; for example, PROXY1 and Proxy1 are two different HTTP proxy definitions.
- In the Host field, enter the host name or IP address (IPv4 or IPv6) of the HTTP or SOCKS proxy server. It can contain up to 63 characters. The host name or IP address is required.
- In the Port number field, enter the port number of the HTTP or SOCKS proxy server. The port number must be an integer from 1 through 65535. The port number is required.
- In the Type field, select either HTTP or SOCKS.
- To make this HTTP proxy definition the default HTTP proxy definition, select Make this proxy the default HTTP proxy. Otherwise, continue to Step 7.
- Click OK to add the HTTP proxy definition.
