Definition errors
For RRSF, typical definition errors are local or remote nodes not being correctly
defined to the system or to each other. In general, definitions must
be accurate and consistent on both the local and target node. Problems
occur when there are:
- For one of the following:
- Previous versions of RACF® database templates
- Inconsistent node definitions to RACF (that is, something that is specified on the TARGET command at a local node was specified differently on a corresponding TARGET command at a remote node)
- Incorrect security information for VSAM data sets
- Differences in node status (NODEA is operative while NODEB thinks NODEA is dormant).
- For APPC:
- Incorrect VTAM® definitions
- Incorrect LU names
- Incorrect security information for APPC conversation
- For TCP/IP:
- Incorrect TCP/IP definitions
- Incorrect host address names
- Incorrect security information for TCP/IP
- AT-TLS policy problems
- Digital certificate and key ring problems
