SMF type 1154 provides compliance data
The following SMF function is new in z/OS® V2R4:
- Compliance data collection: In z/OS V2R4 and later, the process of collecting compliance
data is assisted with the introduction of SMF type 1154. This new record type is used to collect
system settings and other forms of compliance data. On receiving an event notification facility
(ENF) code 86 signal from the z/OS Compliance REST API, selected z/OS components and products
collect and write compliance data to their associated SMF 1154 subtype records. Each subtype must
include the SMF extended header and the SMF1154 common type header, as defined by the IFAR1154
macro. The remainder of the subtype data is specific to the selected component or product.
This support is provided with APAR OA61444 and associated APARs.
