Processing other utility steps
When SMP/E encounters an EXEC statement that does not specify one
of the programs or cataloged procedures it recognizes, it skips all
further JCL statements until the next EXEC statement is found. Input
for certain system utility programs is not meant to be processed as
JCLIN. However, the utility must be defined to SMP/E if it falls into
any of these categories:
- Assembler
- Link-edit utility
- Copy
- Update
