Defining new workloads
To define a new workload, use the New action provided in the Workloads table in the New, Modify, and Copy tabs.
Procedure
- In the New, Modify, or Copy tab, display the Workloads table.
- From the Actions menu, select New. A new row is added to the table.
- Enter a name for the workload. The name can contain up to eight characters including alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, and 0-9), mathematical symbols (| ~ { } \), punctuation marks (! : " [ ]), and the following special characters: %, $, #, @, ^, and _. The name cannot begin with the characters SYS. The name is required and must be unique in the service definition. Workload names are not case sensitive; for example, WKLDDB2 and WkldDB2 are the same workload.
- Enter a description of the workload. The description is optional. It can contain up to 32 characters.
- Click OK or Apply to save your changes.
