About split screen
Some tasks in z/OSMF provide a split screen function that allows you to divide the work area into multiple panes so that you can work with or view multiple items at the same time.
With this function, you can do the following:
- Divide the work area into one or more vertical
or horizontal panes
that operate independently. To do so, click the horizontal (
)
or vertical (
) split button. If the buttons are not displayed, the task
does not support the split screen function. - Display one or more tabs in each pane. There is only one active tab per pane.
- Resize each pane for optimal viewing or editing. To do so, click and drag the separator that resides between the panes.
- Rearrange tabs within a single pane, and move tabs between panes. To do so, click and drag the tab header to the desired location.
- Close a pane and all of its tabs simultaneously. To do so, click
the close icon (
) that is located within the pane.
