Internal errors
The following return codes indicate internal errors and should
be reported to IBM:
- E001 or E100
- The communication to the OSA port cannot be successfully started.
This is most likely due to an error in the LINK statement defined
in TCP/IP (for example, the port number or the LAN type specified
is not correct) or the state of the OSA port cannot support traffic
at this time.
If the failure is due to a misconfiguration in the LINK statement, correct the error and start the device again. If the error is due to something else, investigate the state of the specific port to make sure that it is enabled and operational, and then reissue the command. If neither of these options resolves the problem, report the problem to IBM.
- E002
- Invalid MTU size was detected.
- E007
- A LAN port state error was detected.
- E008
- A start LAN command was not received.
- E009
- The Set IP command was already received.
- E011
- Secondary Default Route already defined.
Check that the stack receiving this error does not already have a default secondary defined.
- E012
- Invalid Set Routing indicator.
- E00D
- Invalid IP version specified.
- E00E
- Unsupported ARP assist command received.
- E055
- Sequence error. The commands sent to OSA from the attached host are in the wrong order.
