Getting Started

1. Insert the tools disc into your CD-ROM or DVD drive.
   • For a multi-disc CD-ROM library or collection, the install program starts automatically if autorun is enabled on your computer.

     The install program does not start automatically if autorun is disabled on your computer. In this case, run SCTOOLS.EXE (in the root directory) to start the install program.

   • For a single-disc CD-ROM library or collection or a DVD collection, the install program does not start automatically. To start the install program, run SCTOOLS.EXE (in the root directory).
   Note:

   If autorun is enabled on your computer, you can access the files on the tools disc without automatically launching any programs or files and without disabling autorun. Go to My Computer or Windows Explorer, right-click on the icon for your CD-ROM or DVD drive, then click Explore.
2. If desired, read the online documentation provided with the install program (SCREADME.TXT for the install program, or the online version of Installing, Managing, and Using the Online Library).
3. Using the install program, install the desired softcopy tools (See Using the Program for Installing Softcopy Tools for details.)
4. Exit the install program.
5. Insert a data disc to view the softcopy collection index, which lists and links to the publications in the collection.
