Input Queue
Use the Input Queue view to work with jobs that are on the JES input queue or executing.
- A graphical view of jobs by return code
- A table of jobs, which you can modify by filtering, sorting and configuring the columns. From the table, you can take actions against jobs, display the data sets for a job, browse a job's output and edit the JCL for a job.
- A properties sheet that shows all of the properties for a job that has been selected in the table. The properties are grouped into categories, which you can expand or collapse. You can modify the values of some properties. You can search the properties sheet to find a specific property. You can collapse or resize the properties sheet using the divider between it and the table. If the properties sheet is collapsed when you close the view, the properties sheet will be collapsed the next time you open the view.
Both the graphical view and the table reflect the filters set with Common Filters and with table filters.
Return code counts
This section gives a graphical view of jobs by return code. The key to the graph, which describes the meaning of the colors, reflects only those return codes that are present and represented in the graph. To view a text equivalent, click View Text.
The number following the title of this section is the number of jobs after filtering, if any. Hover the mouse pointer over a section of the graph to see the count for that segment.
The graph is created from the table data. If filters result in no rows being present in the table, there is no data to display in the graph.
Input Queue table

To work with the data sets for a job, including browsing them, click the value in the JOBNAME column or use the Display Job Data Sets action.
For column filtering, click Filter for the column.
To sort, click the sort icon for a column title.
- To add or remove columns, or change their order, use View.
- To export the table, use File.

Row selections are not retained if you page forward and backward in the table.
Table 1 describes the columns in
the table. Some columns are described as Delayed because
they require an I/O operation to obtain the data, which may impact
performance. These columns are indicated by this icon:
