  • National characters
  • Slash (/)
  • Asterisk (*)
  • Plus (+)
  • Hyphen (-)
  • Period (.)
  • Ampersand (&)
• Enclose the pathname value in single quotation marks if you continue it on another statement. For example:

  //EXA  DD  PATH='/u/payroll/directory171/DEPT64directory/accountingDIR/-
