Displaying the name of your working directory z/OS UNIX System Services User's Guide SA23-2279-00 |

To check on the name of the directory you are currently working in, just enter the pwd command (print working directory). If Alice Smith is working in her home directory, for example, the
system displays the name of her working directory in this form:
/u/smitha is the pathname of her working directory. If Alice Smith enters the command cd projecta, the projecta subdirectory of her home directory becomes
her working directory. If she issues the pwd command, it
displays:
Note: A directory
name can be specified in two ways, with or without a trailing slash;
for example:
