Monitoring a z/OS Connect native server

IBM® z/OS Connect provides monitoring data that enables operational analysis, auditing and tracking of requests.
Important: The use of monitoring with the zosconnect_cicsJcicsConnection is not currently supported.
You can use one or more of the following methods to monitor API requests.
  1. Record SMF 123 data using the audit interceptor that can be integrated with common analytics platforms.
  2. Monitor the health of APIs through real-time monitoring products such as OMEGAMON® for JVM. For more information, see Monitoring APIs with OMEGAMON for JVM and Using OMEGAMON for JVM to diagnose API failures.
Note: IBM OMEGAMON for JVM requires APAR OA65632 for V5.5.0 and APAR OA65643 for V6.1.0 to monitor IBM z/OS Connect native servers with the zosConnect-3.0 feature.
  3. Deploy end to end tracking of business transactions that flow through IBM z/OS Connect to Z assets using tools like IBM Z® APM Connect. For more information, see Using AppDynamics with IBM z/OS Connect.
  4. Use the Liberty Microprofile metrics feature.
