Removing a z/OS Asset

How to remove a z/OS Asset from an operation.

About this task

When you remove a z/OS Asset from an operation, the z/OS Asset is still defined and can be used by other operations. Deleting a z/OS Asset removes it from the project and all operations that use it.

This task takes you through how to remove a z/OS Asset using the Paths menu option.

Procedure

  1. Click Paths in the navigation tree in the Operation Viewer and select the operation from which the z/OS Asset is to be removed.
    This example uses the getEmployee z/OS Asset.
  2. Click the z/OS Asset to be removed in the Operation flow diagram as shown in Figure 1.
    The general information for the selected z/OS Asset is displayed.
  3. Click z/OS Asset options.
  4. Click Remove.

  5. An information screen is displayed to confirm that the z/OS Asset is to be removed only from the selected operation and not from the API project.

  6. Click Remove.
    The removal of the z/OS Asset from the operation is confirmed in the Operation flow diagram that Figure 3 shows.
    • No z/OS Asset in the Operation flow diagram
    • The selected z/OS Asset is still available as a z/OS Asset for other operations.
