Configuring z/OS Connect for zosConnect-3.0

This section contains configuration information for IBM z/OS Connect Server zosConnect-3.0 feature and the back-end z/OS subsystem.

zosConnect-3.0 Applies to zosConnect-3.0.

You can run the server natively on z/OS or in an OCI-compliant container platform such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat® OpenShift®.

When running z/OS Connect Server natively on z/OS, the configuration file is tagged in the z/OS file system as a text file with an ISO8859-1 encoding. If the z/OS UNIX System Services (USS) automatic code page conversion feature is active, you can use standard editors and text utilities to view and manage the configuration file.
Note: Started task The server.xml file of a z/OS Connect Server that is created with a started task is read only upon server startup. Changes to the server configuration file can be gathered by issuing the Liberty SDFS command MODIFY jobName,REFRESH,CONFIG.
