Direct login to the z/OS UNIX shell z/OS concepts |

You can log in directly to the z/OS® UNIX® shell from a system that is connected to z/OS through TCP/IP. Use one of the following methods:
As shown in Figure 1, each of these methods requires the inetd daemon to be set up and active on the z/OS system. There are some differences between the asynchronous terminal support (direct shell login) and the 3270 terminal support (OMVS command):
