Overview of OMEGAMON Web UI

IBM Z OMEGAMON Web UI is a graphical interface designed for monitoring mainframe data from OMEGAMON monitoring agents.

With advanced visualization powered by Grafana, OMEGAMON Web UI allows you to access, analyze, and interpret real-time and near-term performance data directly from OMEGAMON monitoring agents. OMEGAMON Web UI replaces static, legacy monitoring solutions with a flexible, browser-based experience that supports users at all levels.

Component overview

OMEGAMON Web UI comprises several components that enable customizable, secure, and efficient monitoring of data gathered from OMEGAMON monitoring agents.

OMEGAMON Web UI consists of the following components:

OMEGAMON Gateway
OMEGAMON Gateway acts as the main communication hub for the OMEGAMON environment, enabling connections between various Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server (TEMS) and Grafana.
Admin User Interface (UI)
Admin UI provides a user-friendly design that streamlines the configuration of TEMS connections and the management of various Situations based on monitored attributes. It also allows users to define automated responses, such as Expert advice and Take actions, that are activated when a Situation is triggered.
OMEGAMON Data Requester
OMEGAMON Data Requester is a plug-in for Grafana that handles querying and retrieving data from monitored systems. It allows users to access real-time and near-term performance data, which is essential for analyzing system health and performance.
OMEGAMON Dashboards
OMEGAMON Dashboards visually display data collected through OMEGAMON Gateway and processed by OMEGAMON Data Requester within the Grafana platform. Dashboards offer intuitive, customizable views that help users monitor system performance, identify trends, and quickly gain insights, simplifying informed decision-making.
