Historical data view

Viewing historical data is a best practice across organizations for various purposes. OMEGAMON Web UI supports viewing historical data at detail level problem diagnosis.

The importance and use of historical data are significant in decision-making, analysis, and planning. Analyzing historical data provides insights into the status, usage, performance, and health of resources.

Note: Historical visualizations are currently supported only through the REST API, which provides a detailed level of insights for problem diagnosis. Support for enhanced history visualizations using IBM® Z OMEGAMON® Data Provider is planned for future releases.

To view the historical data in the starter dashboards, you must initiate the historical data collection either through the Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) or E3270UI.

The following tables list the dashboard names for the OMEGAMON agents and the names of the attribute groups for which a history collection is to be started:
