This topic summarizes the technical changes for the latest version of OMEGAMON® AI Insights.

OMEGAMON AI Insights is now a containerized application:

OMEGAMON AI Insights is deployed as a Docker container. The entire application is packaged into an easy to deploy set of containers. Communication between OMEGAMON AI Insights and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch + Logstash + Kibana) utilizes HiperSockets, a VPN, or HTTPs (HTTPs is the default configuration).

New component of Tivoli® Management Services:

OMEGAMON AI Insights is shipped as a new component of Tivoli Management Services 6.3.3. The OMEGAMON AI Insights container is available as an ISO image.

Support extended to IBM Z® OMEGAMON AI for CICS monitoring agent:

For IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for CICS 6.1, OMEGAMON AI Insights helps deliver actionable data, analyses, and alerts, enabling real-time monitoring and helps proactively manage performance on CICS environments.

Scalability capabilities for potential load increase

OMEGAMON AI Insights V 2.1 introduces scalability mechanism. Predict and train containers can have multiple instances to distribute the load of multiple contexts.

Database size optimization

Reduction of database size by keeping only the necessary table fields.

Deprecation of using a native binary:

The capability to deploy OMEGAMON AI Insights using the kmua binary, available in version 1.0, has been deprecated and replaced with a Docker-based installation.
