Parameter names

Each parameter can have multiple names, depending on how it is being configured or where it is stored.

In this reference, parameter descriptions are organized by the PARMGEN name. In addition, each description contains the following names:
Parameter name
Name of the parameter as stored in a runtime library. Example: KM5_SECURITY_ACTION_CLASS
Configuration Tool field name
Name of the field that identifies the parameter on an interactive panel. Example: SAF security class override
Batch parameter name
Name of the parameter in the batch parameter member. Example: KM5_SECURITY_ACTION_CLASS
Batch mode is a deployment method used by the Configuration Tool and no longer supported. The batch parameter name value is the old Configuration Tool batch name, not the PARMGEN batch name. These Configuration Tool batch names are included to help you migrate from the Configuration Tool to PARMGEN.
Note: Some parameters have N/A (not available) designated in the Batch name field. This designation means that these parameters cannot be set using batch mode. Batch mode was a deployment method used by the Configuration Tool and is no longer supported. Batch names are included to help you migrate from the Configuration Tool to PARMGEN.
PARMGEN name
Name of the parameter in the PARMGEN parameter list. Example: KC5_AGT_STORAGE_MINIMUM_EXTEND

The following parameters do not appear in the configuration profile. You can set values for these parameters by adding them to the KDS$PENV override member, which is embedded in KDSENV, and not affected by future maintenance or updates.
