Running multiple dedicated sessions

You can run multiple dedicated OMEGAMON terminal sessions under one address space. After you bring up the first terminal normally, you can start and control additional sessions from within OMEGAMON or using z/OS® operator commands.

To start the session from the operating system, use the z/OS MODIFY command with the following parameters:


F KOBROUTR,S CN,PROD=KOMMV510,UNIT=ccuu

where:

ccuu: Specifies the address of the secondary terminal. The PROD and UNIT parameters are required to start the session.

To start the session from within OMEGAMON®, use the .MFY command:


.MFY S CN,PROD=KOMMV510,UNIT=ccuu

You can override default parameters for additional sessions by including them in the .MFY immediate command.
