Common Storage utilization history attributes

The historical Common Storage attribute group displays historical information about four important areas of common storage: common service area (CSA), extended CSA, system queue area (SQA), and extended SQA.

Amount CSA In Use (RMF metric) The amount of total Common Service Area (CSA) used by this address space.

This is the average amount of CSA storage used by the job during the specified report interval (specified as bytes).
Note: You might notice a difference between the Amount Used reported in a summary line and the sum of Amount Used values for all corresponding jobs. The Amount Used value for an individual job is rounded to the nearest whole number. However, the Amount Used value for a summary line is calculated by adding the exact value for all corresponding jobs and then rounding the value

Amount ECSA In Use (RMF metric) The amount of total Extended Common Service Area (ECSA) used by this address space.

This is the average amount of ECSA storage used by the job during the specified report interval (specified as bytes).

Amount SQA In Use (RMF metric) The amount of total System Queue Area (SQA) used by this address space.

This is the average amount of SQA storage used by the job during the specified report interval (specified as bytes).

Amount ESQA In Use (RMF metric) The amount of total Extended System Queue Area (ESQA) used by this address space.

This is the average amount of ESQA storage used by the job during the specified report interval (specified as bytes).

ASID The address space ID of the job (hexadecimal format). The address space id of a Job, TSO Userid, started task or UNIX System Services address space.

Elapsed Time (RMF metric) The address space elapsed time.

The time elapsed between the starting time of a job and the Recording End Time. If a ELAP time of a job is greater than 999.9 days, RMF displays asterisks (***.*D) in this field instead of the elapsed time. The field is blank when the start time of a job is zero. For example, the field is blank for batch initiators.
Note: The elapsed time value in the STORC report is not the same as the TET (transaction elapsed time) exception value in the WFEX report. The elapsed time is the time range from the start of the address space. TET is the transaction elapsed time for the last active transaction.

Job Name (RMF metric) The name of the Job, the TSO Userid, the name of the started task or the name of an UNIX System Services address space. Valid value is a string, with a maximum of eight characters.

Managed System A z/OS operating system in your enterprise that is being monitored by an IBM® Z OMEGAMON AI for z/OS agent. Valid value is a character string with a maximum length of 32 bytes.

Percentage CSA In Use (RMF metric) The average percentage of Common Service Area (CSA) storage used by the job during the specified report interval.

Percentage ECSA In Use (RMF metric) The average percentage of Extended Common Service Area (ECSA) storage used by the job during the specified report interval.

Percentage SQA In Use (RMF metric) The average percentage of System Queue Area (SQA) storage used by the job during the specified report interval.

Percentage ESQA In Use (RMF metric) The average percentage of Extended System Queue Area (ESQA) storage used by the job during the specified report interval.

Recording End Time Time at the end of the RMF reporting interval for the current row of near-term historical data. The valid format is yy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss.

Recording Start Time Time at the start of the RMF reporting interval for the current row of near-term historical data. The valid format is yy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss.

RMF Status Status indications for availability of RMF and lock data.

Sample Period Sample period in seconds.

Service Class The service class name. Valid value is a string, with a maximum of eight characters. This field displays unavailable if the system is in compatibility mode. If a job changes its service class during the report interval, RMF displays eight asterisks (********) instead of the service class name. If the service class is not available, RMF displays eight dashes (--------).

SMF ID SMF ID as defined in the IEASYM or IEASYS PARMLIB members.
