OMEGAMON Enhanced 3270 User Interface navigation with icons and function keys
The OMEGAMON Enhanced 3270 user interface (e3270 UI) is a keyboard-driven, using Program Function keys (PF-keys) and specific commands for navigation. You can also use the application navigation icons for some actions
PF keys
The following standard PF keys are defined in e3270 UI. These keys are not customizable.Note: If the PF keys do not work with your
keyboard function keys, you must to enable the 3270 keys in your
emulator.
Function key | Description |
---|---|
PF1 | Provides help for column headings. |
PF2 | Provides internal column information for a worspace when you place cursor on the workspace column. |
PF3 | Returns you to a previous workspace, or exits a popup. |
PF4 | Displays a list of filters for a workspace, if defined. |
PF5 | Find string in a Partitioned Data Space (PDS) member. |
PF6 | Exports data to disk. |
PF7 | Scrolls a workspace or subpanel up. |
PF8 | Scrolls a workspace or subpanel down. |
PF9 | Displays the Product Navigation Array. |
PF10 | Scrolls a workspace or subpanel left. |
PF11 | Scrolls a workspace or subpanel right. |
PF12 | Retrieves previously entered commands. |
Navigation icons

« | Open drawer | Reveals the Application Navigation Drawer, which displays more icons that you can use to navigate or display administrative workspaces |
» | Close drawer | Closes the Application Navigation Drawer |
HUB | Hub | Goes to the Hub Connectivity Administration workspace |
RTE | RTE | Goes to the Runtime Environment workspace |
NAV | Navigate | Opens a product navigation area in the footer area. The icons that you see represent OMEGAMON products that are installed and available to be invoked. In this case, you see IBM® Z OMEGAMON AI for z/OS. |
ODI | Object Definition Interchange |
Displays the list of products that are installed in the e3270 UI. You can display the products, tables, and column definitions that are defined in the ODI. When creating new workspaces, for example, this view shows you the actual table and column names to use in a QUERY statement. |
SIT | Situation Editor | Displays the situation editor tree to create, view, and edit situations including the formula, distribution, expert advice, action, and until conditions that can monitor important conditions in your environment. |
