Configuring and managing Z Resource Discovery for integration with ServiceNow Change
Management Database
To integrate IBM Z Resource Discovery with ServiceNow Change Management Database, you
must install Docker, Podman, IBM Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS 3.2.0, IBM Z Resource Discovery
- Data Service, IBM Z Operations Analytics Common and Apache Kafka.
Prerequisites
Before you integrate IBM Z® Resource Discovery with ServiceNow, you must install Docker or Podman.
Installation images
Before you integrate IBM Z Resource Discovery with ServiceNow, you must install IBM® Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS®, IBM Z Resource Discovery - Data Service and IBM Z Operations Analytics Common. The original product installation images are available from IBM ShopZ.
Preparing for installation
Before you install IBM Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS 3.2.0, IBM Z Resource Discovery - Data Service, and IBM Z Operations Analytics Common on z/OS and Linux, you must prepare for installation.
Installation on z/OS

Installation on Linux
The IBM Z Resource Discovery for ServiceNow can be deployed on Linux using Podman or Docker. You can review the prerequisites, install, and configure on Docker or Podman depending on your requirement.
Post-installation configuration
After you install IBM Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS, load Z Resource Discovery Data Service, PostgreSQL Kafka Connect, and Z Operational Analytics OCI container images and supporting utilities, you must make configurations.
Operating
After you install and configure Z Resource Discovery for integration with ServiceNow CMDB, you can operate the software containers on z/OS and Linux®.
