Running IBM Z Discovery Application and ingesting CI

This topic describes how to run IBM Z® Discovery Application and ingest CI.

To run IBM Z Discovery Application and ingest CI, complete the following steps:

1. The CI from System Z are ingested through ServiceNow Flow. To access ServiceNow Flow:
   1. Search for and launch Flow Designer.
      
   2. Select IBM as filter, and choose IBM Z Discovery Scheduled Flow.
      
   3. The job has a trigger that will automatically run the job monthly. You can also run it manually by choosing the Test option.
      

      Note: This job is responsible to ingest the non-JCL CI, the non-JCL CI Relationship and the JCL CI.
2. You can view the ServiceNow CI in the tables of the IBM Z Discovery application.

   2. Under zTables, select one of the CI Object Type. For example, choose IBM CICS Region for zOS.
