Overview
IBM z/OS DFSMS Cloud Data Manager (also known as DFSMScdm) provides both DFSMShsm data movement and hybrid cloud data management.
- DFSMShsm data movement
- DFSMShsm data movement functions are used to migrate large amounts of data from DFSMShsm ML2 storage to cloud storage. For more information, see DFSMShsm data movement overview.
- Hybrid cloud data management
- Hybrid cloud data management functions are used to share data between z/OS and any cloud that uses the S3 API to communicate with connected devices or systems using IBM z/OS DFSMSdfp Cloud Data Access (CDA). For more information, see Hybrid cloud data management overview.
