SMF data stream reference
For each System Management Facilities (SMF) record type, this reference lists the name of the data stream that Z Common Data Provider uses to collect the data and includes a brief description of the data stream content.
In the Configuration Tool, the SMF data stream names
are shown in the
in the Policy Profile Edit window.
Select data streamwindow, which opens when you click the Add Data Stream icon
in the Policy Profile Edit window.The SMF data stream reference is
organized by SMF record type ranges. Select a range in Table 1 to
view the detailed data stream information for those SMF types.

- Each SMF data stream reference table includes the following columns:
- Type: The SMF record type.
- Subtype: The subtype of the SMF record. No subtype is shown when the stream applies to all subtypes or the record has no subtypes.
- Data stream name: The name of the data stream to which the SMF data is written.
- Description: A brief description of the data stream content.
Note: For details of the SMF record contents, see the related

SHBODEFS data set.Attention: Most
_V2 data
streams in the tables represent updated versions that supersede their original counterparts. For
