Z APM Connect Base
Z APM Connect Base is a z/OS® started task (STC) that provides basic functions such as receiving monitoring data from Z APM Connect CICS® TS Data Producer (CICS TS Data Producer) or Z APM Connect IMS Data Producer (IMS Data Producer), and transmitting the data to the Z APM Connect Distributed Gateway that runs on a Linux® server.

Z APM Connect Base can receive large amounts of data from multiple CICS TS regions, IMS regions and IMS Connect quickly and efficiently by using z/OS Cross Memory Services. The Z APM data collectors minimize processing within a CICS TS environment or an IMS and IMS Connect environment by performing most processing within Z APM Connect Base.
- Z APM Connect Dispatcher and Couriers
Z APM Connect Dispatcher and Couriers are the code that runs within an Z APM Connect Base. This code creates queues to receive data from CICS TS Data Producer. Then, it validates and transmits the received data to the Z APM Connect Distributed Gateway that runs on a Linux server.
