To propagate the health status for the monitor resource to the health status of the application, you must define a HASMONITOR relationship between the IMS control region and the monitor resource.
The monitor resource is kept active only during the UP time of the IMS application group and the external subsystem application group. This is achieved with an additional HASPASSIVEPARENT and a FORCEDOWN/WhenObservedDown relationship between the monitor resource and both the IMS application group and the external subsystem application group. This ensures that the monitor resource can rely on all required functions.
