Event Monitoring

CICS Automation of SA z/OS allows the monitoring of events that are issued by CICSPlex® System Manager (CICSPlex SM).

When an event is received, the event severity is mapped to the health status of a related monitor resource and, in addition, defined recovery commands are issued.

The event monitoring function is optional, that is, some definitions are necessary to get it up and running. The implementation of the event monitoring function includes the following:

• The definition of a monitor resource for each event that is to be monitored
• Relationships
