Command Interface

Because the command interface is a normal batch job as submitted by TWS, there are no extra TWS definitions. You may optionally create a batch job submission workstation that is used to submit the batch jobs to run commands against SA z/OS.

The advantage in doing this is that the command processor that the batch job runs can automatically stop the workstation if the SA z/OS Agent or NetView Agent is not up or the PPI interface is not responding. When the SA z/OS Agent or NetView Agent starts up it will automatically restart the previously stopped workstation.
