Tivoli Network Manager

The Tivoli® Network Manager software improves network visibility in distributed environments and drives reliability and performance. It delivers highly accurate, real-time information about network connectivity, availability, performance, usage, and inventory. With accurate network visibility, you can efficiently and effectively visualize and manage complex networks. Tivoli Network Manager software also provides advanced fault correlation and diagnosis capabilities. You can use real-time root-cause analysis to quickly identify the source of network faults and speed problem resolution. It provides asset control capabilities that you can use to optimize the utilization of network resources. Tivoli Network Manager software features a common visualization layer that draws on a consolidated database that collects information from the IP network.

When used with the MultiSystem Manager IBM® Tivoli Network Manager agent, the MultiSystem Manager component of the NetView® for z/OS® program can gather topology and status information about the resources that are managed by the IBM Tivoli Network Manager software. This information is then stored in RODM and can be displayed graphically using the NetView management console.
