Running Multiple NetView Programs in the Same LPAR

You can run multiple NetView® programs in the same logical partition (LPAR), with some or all of them controlling NetView management consoles. In this environment, all instances of the NetView program must be at the same version and release level.

One reason you might want to run two NetView programs on the same system is to divide the work in your network. One NetView program can be used to perform systems automation functions, using a combination of NetView and Systems Automation for z/OS® programs. A second NetView program can be used to perform network management and network automation functions, using a combination of NetView functions, MultiSystem Manager, the SNA Topology manager, AON, and IP management.
