Accessing the Configuration Tool
After you successfully set up the Configuration Tool, you can access it in a web browser.
Procedure

Access the following URL in a web browser.
- To access the Configuration Tool on z/OSMF:
HostName is the host name of your server that runs the Configuration Tool server.https://HostName/zosmf
- To access the Configuration Tool on
Liberty:
HostName is the host name of your server that runs the Configuration Tool server. port is the port number that is used by the Configuration Tool server. The default port number is 17977.https://HostName:port/cdp
- To access the Configuration Tool on z/OSMF:

Log in to the Configuration Tool.
- To log in to the Configuration Tool on z/OSMF:
Log in to z/OSMF with a TSO user ID that is in z/OSMF administrator group 1, which is the UNIX group to which z/OSMF administrators are added. By default, z/OSMF administrator group 1 is
IZUADMIN
. - To log in to the Configuration Tool on Liberty:
Log in with a user ID that is connected to the user group that is defined by the AUTHORIZED_GROUP parameter in the /var/cdp-uiconfig/cdpui.properties file.
The Configuration Tool supports multifactor authentication based on IBM Z® Multi-Factor Authentication. For more information, see the IBM Z Multi-Factor Authentication documentation.
- To log in to the Configuration Tool on z/OSMF:

In the left navigation pane, expand Configuration, and click
Common Data Provider.
The Common Data Provider tab opens, and you can manage your policies for streaming z/OS® operational data to subscribers.
In Policy Pool, you can create policies in either of the following sections based on your needs:- Policy for streaming data to analytics platforms
- If you are using the Log Forwarder or System Data Engine as the data gatherer, which is a typical user scenario, create policies in this section. Policies in this section define what operational data to collect, how to transform data into a consumable format, and where to send data for analysis.
- Policy for streaming data to Apache Kafka through Data Collector
- If you are using the Data Collector as the data gatherer, create policies in this section. Policies in this section define what operational data to collect and which Kafka cluster to send data to.
