Upgrading the Z Data Analytics Platform and the common services

Follow the steps in this section to upgrade the Z Data Analytics Platform and the common services.

Upgrading to 5.1.1.10 or 5.1.1.11
This procedure describes how to upgrade the Z Data Analytics Platform from prior fix packs to version 5.1 fix pack 10 or fix pack 11. The procedure covers both the Z Data Analytics Platform itself as well as a set of components that are delivered as software container images and are common to IBM Z® Operational Log and Data Analytics and IBM Z Anomaly Analytics. Beginning with Version 5.1 Fix Pack 10, the Problem Insights server is delivered as one of the common software container images. Therefore, the procedure for how to upgrade the Problem Insights server to fix pack 10 or 11 is also described in this procedure.
Migrating data to 5.1.1.10 or 5.1.1.11
Data migration to version 5.1.1.10 or 5.1.1.11 is only supported if you are upgrading the Z Data Analytics Platform from fix pack 5.1.0.9. You can migrate only the user ID information that is previously maintained in the Keycloak zdap security realm and operational data that is stored in the Z Data Analytics Platform long-term datastore volume. Short-term storage data (such as data that is stored in the Apache Kafka message broker) and event data (such as data that is stored in the Problem Insights server’s internal datastore) is not migrated.
Upgrading to the latest fix pack from 5.1.1.10 or later
Follow the instructions in this section to upgrade the Z Data Analytics Platform and the common services to the latest fix pack from 5.1.1.10 or later.
