Installing the Z Common Data Provider

This section provides information about how to install the Z Common Data Provider.

Review the conventions used in the Z Common Data Provider:

About this task

Install the Z Common Data Provider by using SMP/E. You can find the installation instructions in the Z Common Data Provider Program Directory, which is available at https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/z-logdata-analytics/5.1.0?topic=pdf-files.

Optionally, you can run the Configuration Tool on Liberty. IBM Z® Operational Log and Data Analytics delivers an optional FMID for the embedded IBM® WebSphere® Application Server for z/OS® Liberty. Alternatively, you can use the IBM WebSphere Application Server for z/OS Liberty that is embedded in z/OS 2.4 or later.
