Obtaining the IBM Z Database Assistant code

The installation materials for IBM® Z Database Assistant are delivered through multiple IBM systems.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have access to the following IBM systems:

  • IBM ShopZ for product ordering
  • IBM Marketing Registration Services (MRS) for downloading the IBM Z Database Assistant user interface
  • IBM Container Registry (ICR) for downloading the IBM Z Database Assistant containers

Procedure

  1. From IBM ShopZ, order IBM Z Database Assistant (5698-AUR), which is located in the Display Group z/OS.

    IBM Z Database Assistant consists of a single load module (FMID HDGN110), the product Program Directory, and a licensed document. Within the licensed document are the access key for downloading the user interface from MRS and the entitlement key for downloading the IBM Z Database Assistant containers from ICR.

    Note: Installing FMID HDGN110 does not install IBM Z Database Assistant.
  2. From MRS, download the user interface from the following location by using the access key from your ShopZ licensed document:

  3. From ICR, you'll download the container images by using the entitlement key from your ShopZ licensed document.
