Use the IBM® Z Database Assistant command processor to run and work with Db2 and DSN commands.
Procedure
- From the side navigation panel, select the Db2 for z/OS® subsystem that you want to work with and open the Command processor view.
- Type a Db2 or DSN command in the input field and click Run. The command is validated after it has been run.
The output of the command is displayed in the
Command results section of the view.
- Usage notes:

- The Command editor retains the history for the last 10 commands that were run during a session. This history persists only during the current login session.
- After you run your first command, the output from running subsequent commands is appended to the Command results section.
- Use the Clear and run action to simultaneously clear the Command results section, run the current command, and display the output from that command in the Command results section.
- You can delete a single command by clicking the trash can icon (
) for that command, or you can delete all commands by clicking Clear all recent commands.
- You can copy the results by clicking the copy icon (
) for that command.
