Configuring Task Analytics

You can configure the Task Engine to collect task instance metrics in the run-time environment and send this information to IBM webMethods BPM Optimize for Process. This capability requires that both IBM webMethods Broker (deprecated) and IBM webMethods BPM Optimize for Process are installed and configured for interaction with IBM My webMethods Server.

To work with the available task metrics in Optimize for Process, you must:

Define a connection to IBM webMethods Broker (deprecated) and deploy the event maps as described in Configuring a webMethods Broker (Deprecated) or JMS Server Connection and Deploying Event Maps.
Enable one or more task types as described in Disabling and Enabling Task Analytics.

A default Task Metrics event map is available, containing predefined dimensions, facts, and key performance indicators (KPIs). You can begin monitoring tasks immediately with these predefined KPIs, and you can add custom task monitoring KPIs as required.
