About Task Application Projects

IBM webMethods Designer enables you to create tasks that run on the IBM webMethods BPM Task Engine. All tasks must be created within a task application project (a generic portlet application project). For instructions, see Creating a Task Application Project.

Task application projects that you publish to a Task Engine instance, running on IBM My webMethods Server can be created to support either the JSF 1.x standard or the JSF 2.x standard. By default, task application projects are created with JSF 2.x standard support. For more information, see About JavaServer Faces.
