Triggering the Task Archiving Rule

When you trigger the task archiving rule manually, Task Engine begins to archive all eligible task instances immediately, regardless of the schedule configuration. Manual triggering does not affect the stored configuration of the scheduled event for task archiving, which will fire automatically on the next configured date/time.

To manually trigger the task archiving rule

Procedure

  1. In My webMethods, navigate to Applications > Administration > Business > Tasks > Task Archiving > Task Archiving Configuration.
  2. Under Archiving Schedule, click in the Tools column for the task archiving rule, and click Fire Now.
    You can pause and resume the execution of the rule from the same menu.
