DB2 Database Server software component

On the stand-alone virtual system patterns that use an internal DB2® virtual image, the DB2 Database Server software component provides a DB2 server instance when deployed. On the cluster-based virtual system patterns that use an internal DB2 virtual image, two DB2 Database Server software components (Primary DB2 and Standby DB2) provide an HADR configuration.

To deploy DB2 software components with your WSRR virtual system patterns, you must download the IBM® DB2 with BLU Acceleration Pattern and import it into IBM PureApplication®.
